Omnidirectional Tilt and
Vibration Sensor

Two-Channel Capacitive Proximity & Touch Sensor Ideal for Automotive Passive Remote Keyless Entry (PRKE) Applications

The SQ-SEN-200 sensor acts like a normally closed switch which chatters open and closed as it is tilted or vibrated. Unlike other rolling-ball sensors, the 200 is truly an omnidirectional movement sensor. It will function regardless of how it is mounted or aligned.

Function:
• Omnidirectional movement sensing
• Chatters open / closed when tilted or vibrated in any direction regardless of orientation
• Normally closed at rest Features
• Ultra low power - As little as 0.25 μA
• Surface mount device (SMD) - RoHS compliant,
  lead-free, tape and reel
• High sensitivity & long life - 99.9% pure gold plating
• Miniature size - 3.3 mm x 6.9 mm
• Simple interface - No signal conditioning required
• Quiet - undetectable sound level.

 APPLICATION NOTES ...

LED driver solution for MR16 and similar retrofit lamps
This application note describes a proprietary solution that will drive LEDs off a 12VAC input for MR16 and similar retrofit lamps. This design can be used with both magnetic and electronic transformers. It is dimmable with leading-edge dimmers for magnetic transformers and with trailing-edge dimmers for electronic transformers. No electrolytic capacitors are required. This greatly extends the lifetime of an LED lamp, because electrolytic capacitors are typically the element of the system with the shortest lifetime.
