The Enabler III is a fully
certified quad-band OEM module family that packs complete
GSM/GPRS/EDGE functionality into a compact footprint.
The embedded software environment enables development
of essential capabilities — mobile connectivity
and device intelligence — by utilizing built-in
rules engine, network router and control and automation
capabilities. With power consumption of <2.5mA
the Enabler III significantly enhances longer battery
life.
The Enabler IIIG is lead-free and RoHS compliant
and has GCF, PTCRB and FCC certifications. As with
all Enfora products, Enabler IIIG has undergone extensive
network interoperability and operator testing.

| 2A, switch-mode
charger reduces heat and charge time for mobile devices
|

Low Power SIMPLE™
Embedded PowerPacket™ Modules
|
MAX8903A, a switch-mode DC-DC
charger with Smart Power Selector™ circuitry.
The charger employs a high switching frequency (4MHz,
typ) to minimize heat and charge time, while allowing
the use of tiny external components. To further reduce
solution size, the 4mm x 4mm MAX8903A includes all
power switches and current-sense circuitry required
for charging and switching the load between battery
and external power. This device is optimized for rechargeable,
1-cell lithium-ion (Li+) batteries, making it ideal
for smartphones, mobile internet devices, portable
media players, portable navigation devices, digital
still cameras, and ultra-mobile PCs.
The MAX8903A can operate with either separate inputs
for USB and AC-adapter power or from a single input
that accepts both. When external power is connected,
the Smart Power Selector circuitry allows the system
to operate with no battery or a deeply discharged
battery.

Bel produces a range of single
in line modules for low-cost, high-speed in-home powerline
communications. These modules are based on
Intellon’s baseband ICs and required support
circuitry to provide a single component solution for
the addition of PowerPacket functionality to a product.
The SIMPLE™ (Single Inline Module – Power
Line Enabled) family architecture allows pin and function
compatible SIMPLE™ modules to be introduced
as new ICs are developed to provide improved functionality
and/or reduced cost to the customer without requiring
redesign of existing products.
Bel’s 0804-5000-03-F and 0804-5000-04-F SIMPLE
modules are based on the Intellon INT5200 LFBGA that
provides both baseband and AFE functions in one package.
The host interface to the module can be configured
for MII (or GPSI) PHY or MII Host/DTE. The module
is optimized for performance in both wall-plug applications
and desk top applications using AC or DC line cords.
Design is compatible with the Bel 79102x-xx SIMPLE
Module family requiring only substitution of the correct
coupler to provide improved functionality and reduced
cost to the customer without requiring redesign of
existing products.
